Title : ORTHOGRAPHIC PROJECTIONS
Objective
This module aims to familiarize students with design communication skills, emphasizing the use of architectural graphics. It focuses on cultivating proficiency in visualizing and effectively communicating architectural concepts, spatial arrangements, and forms. Through practical exercises and theoretical insights, students are guided towards honing their abilities to convey architectural ideas with clarity and precision.
Task Methodology
In Project 2A, students will manually create 2D and 3D drawings using orthographic projections across three phases. Emphasis is placed on architectural conventions, symbols, and line quality. Drawings include plans, elevations, and sections, developed progressively with pencils in weekly workshop sessions. The incorporation of drafting skills from tutorials, adherence to architectural standards, and proper formatting are essential. The final step involves inking all draft drawings to practice varied line weights on paper.
